The 14th Annual SUNNYSIDE HIGH SCHOOL'S

What a night, Sunnyside High's "Noche de las Estrellas".

Sunnyside High's Noche de las Estrellas was a binational affair.

NOCHE DE LAS ESTRELLAS at SUNNYSIDE HIGH.

The Mariachi Group from Sunnyside High was the best performance of the night.

Teresita threw her heart and soul into singing at Sunnyside High's Noche de las Estrellas.

Teresita threw herself into every song. she was more than awesome.

J Lo has a crappy voice compared with the heavenly music of Teresita.

This is Teresita. The audience screamed her name as she sang.

The dance was about fifteen minutes long.

The Yaqui dancers intriqued us all.

The story is about two animals.

The Yaqui dancers came from Sonora Mexico.

That is a deer on his head,

The boys explained that their dances are spiritually based in Yaqui traditions.

He danced.

This 10 year old has been trained from birth to perform ancient dances.

Just when I thought the night couldn't get any better, the Yaqui dancers came on and thrilled us all.

The skirts were flying everywhere at Sunnyside High's Noche de las Estrellas.

Ward 5 Councilman STEVE LEAL was honored for his long time support of Sunnyside High at Noche de las Estrellas.

Somebody said something funny to Emma from the audience.

Here is Emma again.

This is Emma Garcia. She is beautiful and Sunnyside teachers assured me that she is as lovely inside as out. Emma graduates from Sunnyside this year, and we know she's going to be a smashing success in college.

There were dancers on the stage, in front of the stage, along the aisles of the auditorium and around the back.

This was awesome.

The Sunnyside players were the best.

The dancing gave the young men great confidence.

There were Mariachi Groups from over 5 Tucson High Schools, dancers from the Yaqui villiages in Sonora, Mexico and folklorico dancers from schools in Sonora, Mexico.
